Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog, I hope that it is as exciting for you to read as it is for me to write! So a little about me...I am a nursery teacher from the UK  and I am embarking upon an early years voyage across the world. I am travelling for a year, sadly leaving behind my nursery class at Mary Swanwick Primary School in Chesterfield. My aim is to explore different early years practice in the countries that I visit. As a teacher, I hold strong interests in developing children's communication and language; early intervention and  outdoor play. Whilst writing the dissertation for my Early Years Education masters at the University of Derby I explored ways in which to empower children and ways in which to  improve transition practices. I am very excited (and a little nervous) to embark on this mostly solo adventure but looking forward to the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead and to meet and share with early years practitioners from such varied settings. Wish me luck! I hope that by the end of this year, I will be able to share with you all some great pedagogy and to have also become a whizz at map reading!

Best wishes, Zoe Kimber
